This week, Chef Adam Greenberg stopped by Hunts Point Fish Market in the Bronx to shop for our Connecticut restaurants. Here’s what you can expect on your menu this weekend:
It was sort of an uneventful fish trip, with a lot of the same-old-thing around the market. I was looking for something unique, found it, then was told “sorry, we’re all out.” That something special was shucked scallops with roe attached. I’m working on getting us some next week with a preorder, so keep an eye out for that on the menu.
Here’s what I did get:
- Halibut
- Uni (I always get uni as a tradition)
- Large Turbot (not the French Turbot)
- Acme Smoked Trout (I just thought the story of Acme fish in Brooklyn and the quality was worth it. This will go great with the vegetables we’ve been getting at farm).
